Description
This training provide the participants with a basic underpinning knowledge of lifting and slinging to enable them to carry out their lifting operations in accordance with statutory requirements and without risk to health. This training is designed for any employee who may be required to sling and lift workplace equipment as part of their normal work activities.

Objectives
- Understand the
regulations governing the safe use of lifting equipment and about Health
and Safety at Work
- Carry out pre-use
checks and recognise the actions to be taken with defective lifting
equipment.
- Recognise safe working
procedures, including the safe use, maintenance and storage of lifting
accessories.
- Recognise the
recommended crane signals. (As applicable)
